Behind the name

Originally, the Dendê is a species of palm tree that exists in some countries of Africa and South America, especially in the region of Bahia, in northeastern Brazil.


The palm tree was our first source of inspiration. The palm has a strong visual impact in our imagination. The palm has this almost magical power to transport us to other horizons.

Wishing to create a concept all in contrasts, we added a feminine dimension to our palm tree. This is how Nature became Woman and Dendê was born...
